Windows Xp Logon Screen Does Not Appear
Once in system recovery my mouse and keyboard work, however the keyboard-mouse problem persists at the welcome screen unless I do a system restore. or remove the battery and after half an hour reinsert in the same locatiion. I then read other forums around the web using my Android phone to try and find a solution, only those solutions were no help. This issue occurs if you configured Microsoft Windows XP to use the Welcome screen. navigate here

Something makes me think that it's something to do with the wifi driver, but then again i've taken out the wifi card and the... Windows Xp Login Screen Cleaned machine out, added memory. Ask ! took battery out which reset clock / settings but did nothing to help my main issue......the keyboard works to enter setup f2,etc...but once windows starts loading all of the functions of Windows Xp Logon Screen Does Not Appear I could remover my VGA card(graphics card) and use my onboard instead to test you VGA card theory... Finally just took it in to be serviced since nothing I tried worked.
I would suggest you reinstall the operating system. :) I'm having that trouble also with a friends computer, as I can hit F10 and get the safe mode screen, but I check over here the program edited the registry key for the logon screen to the path of the custom one. This problem sounds like you don't have all the drivers for the motherboard installed. But even after doing a system restore, the problem starts back up again after one or two uses.
Why write 1,000,000,000 as 1000*1000*1000 in C? This problem can occur because the Autologon feature is attempting an automatic logon for a user account that does not exist. Background: Windows Update kindly deleted this useless waste of disk space for me when I ran it a few years ago.
To resolve this issue, disable the Welcome screen. Checked the Terminal Services service for good measure. Ran system file checker: sfc /scannow, there were no problems. Hope this will help you all.

Good luck. That post is from '08, so I'm not sure at this point that it applies. No I mean system recovery; after Safe Mode loads up, I can't use the mouse or keyboard at that startup screen. I dont know what happened but for the past couple days, my welcome screen stop appearing and it just log on automatically to my account.
