Turns out the fix is to configure your mouse to the hotkeys, as stated above, and then save the configueation to the mouse memory and uninstall the software. Try to set all to default (or, if you can, create a seperate profile that automatically is active when playing gw2, and have all bindings in that profile to default). I'm just talking out of my ass since I'm not affiliated with Blizzard, but as long as you're not trying to "hack" the game or the experience it wants to be, I have it and the Razer Nostromo, and together they make a great combo. http://trisystech.net/wow-mouse/wow-mouse-not-working-with-gw2.html

The same combination in GW2, by default, opens the map - this should always be available to you though, and not return an error message. The normal clicks and scroll wheels works but I can't seem to assign any other keys to the mouse.

None of these have worked. The script works surprisingly well and makes leveling a lot more fun (for me, at least). I was trying to make buttons 7,4,5, and 14 (as labeled in the mouse software) function as F1,F2,F3, and F4 respectively.
